MGG inspired us to do more sustainable ways of networking and integrate the climate change topic in our institutional expertise

“The MGG Academy and the Network changed the way how I prioritized networks and how I network. We improved our network activities and how network members interact. The MGG Network also inspires us to establish a similar multi-stakeholder network on climate change and disaster management, consisting of national and local actors in Indonesia”
Beltsazar Krisetya, Indonesia, Researcher at Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), MGG 2019
Beltsazar's change story:
I am part of CSIS Indonesia, a very established think tank on trade and foreign affairs in Indonesia. Four CSIS researchers have been part of the MGG Academy and have been involved in its activities since 2008. The strong connection with MGG and IDOS in general creates a favourable environment for change towards implementing the Agenda 2030, sustainable networking and in our case the greatest success is that we established a climate change network within CSIS, which has been traditionally focusing on trade and foreign affairs. This is a huge success for us. We are now integrating climate studies and disaster risk management within economic, international relations, and domestic politics discourses.
