Sabrina's change story:
During my MGG journey, I worked on the change maker project: How to create a deeper understanding of the newly adopted concept of feminist development policy (FDP) on a municipal level? In a Design Thinking process, we talked to different people about the topic, witnessed interactions, and applied new methods (I've used the 'Crazy 8s' a lot ever since). With all this information, we developed a workshop for the team to create a better understanding of FDP. I took this workshop back to my organisation, and we were able to realise a team day on exactly this topic with all my 40 colleagues in early September in the "women's museum" in Bonn, using many of the elements we came up with in our change maker project. The workshop was enriched with input from a colleague from IDOS, whom we had interviewed last year and who had some very inspiring thoughts for us. Following this workshop, we will implement structures on how to foster FDP in my department. There was a gain of knowledge, an openness to the topic, and an increased capability to promote the topic of FDP directly with my team members and indirectly through projects funded by my team, as they will also learn more about FDP and be encouraged to apply it to their own work.
