Individual Action: Driving Change through Small Contributions

Published on October 1, 2024

"In essence, MGG teaches you that you do not need a team to be the change maker. You can design a small change by yourself and make a small contribution - 100 small steps are needed to resolve bigger challenges".

Honey Karun, India, Independent consultant on financing climate and sustainability issues, MGG 2016

Honey's change story:

I came back and opted to join a multilateral organization to contribute to larger issues based on my technical expertise. After working for five years, I realized that the global challenges need a multidisciplinary, multi-actors, multi-stakeholders approach. I quit my comfort zone and moved to contribute to the issues of climate change and sustainability challenges utilising my past skills set. I could contribute to the current debates on the role of multilateral institutions like the IMF and their policies on climate change, role of carbon pricing and non-pricing policies for G20 countries. I am now working on how ESG policies can help sustainability especially in small enterprises and make them climate competitive.
